AspenTech Ranked #11 in the FORTUNE Future 50 List

December 18, 2023

I’m proud to share that AspenTech has been recognized as one of FORTUNE’s “Future 50” – a global index of companies spanning a broad range of industries which are primed for long-term growth. Listed at number 11 on the list, AspenTech was selected because our software and sustainability solutions “are growing in demand and utilities and energy companies make up a growing share of (our) business.”

First published in 2017 and compiled by FORTUNE and the Boston Consulting Group, the list was created with an eye toward helping investors make wise choices amid global upheavals – which have disrupted markets over the past year.

Our inclusion on this prestigious list, of which more than 1,700 of the world’s largest companies were evaluated – is a testament to the value we continue to provide to our customers and our unique position in the market.

Our inclusion on the Future 50 list also highlights our strength following the Emerson transaction and our acquisition of inmation. Over the past year, hundreds of our employees have worked tirelessly to integrate newly added businesses and technology. These efforts have uniquely positioned us to help our customers adapt to the changes that will come with the energy transition while also meeting the increasing demand for resources and maintaining profitability.

Already, companies are taking advantage of our solutions to develop innovative new approaches using captured CO2 to produce everything from fuel to chemicals to polymers, which could replace petroleum-based plastics. Using ancient microbes and a specialized fermentation process, one customer is transforming captured CO2 into amino acids – the basic building blocks of food – which could be plant-based meat or milk products. Another customer is working to adapt a natural mineralization process to store captured CO2 by transforming it into solid rock, which can be stored underground.

AspenTech is partnering with Aramco to bring new carbon capture and utilization (CCU) innovation to the market and has partnered with Greentown Labs, the largest climate tech startup incubator in North America, to accelerate the development of sustainability solutions in areas ranging from carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS), hydrogen, renewable energy and more.

I am tremendously proud of all the work accomplished by the AspenTech team and look forward to seeing what the future holds.
