Zafar Ali has been working in the Oil and Gas industry for close to twenty years. He has held different roles in the design, implementation and sustainability of world class industry solutions. His area of focus has been maximizing operational flexibility and margin. Zafar has been one of the key architects for the refinery and petrochemical scheduling and blending solution. He has worked very closely with Oil "Super Majors" and other customers in designing their digital transformation journey. As a product manager for AspenTech’s Petroleum Supply Chain solutions, Zafar is responsible for designing the next-generation production optimization solutions that will cater to the evolving needs of new users and scale across the value chain. 

Zafar graduated from Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, India with a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering and followed it up with a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. Zafar also has an MBA from University of Houston.
