Addressing Key Technical and Economical Challenges of Carbon Capture Technology

Technology Centre Mongstad (TCM DA) is the world’s largest open access test center for carbon capture technologies. It is located next to the Equinor refinery in Mongstad, Norway, which is the source of two types of flue gases supplied to TCM’s carbon capture demonstration plant. Since TCM inauguration in 2012, testing has provided valuable learnings and experiences needed for the widespread growth of the CCS industry.

In this on-demand session, TCM presents an overview of its capabilities for testing, advisory services and support to environmental permitting with regards to carbon capture technologies. Aspen Plus® is used to evaluate technical feasibility of carbon capture process with open-source, amine-based solvents.
